Everything You Need to Know About the 2025 Miami Grand Prix

It’s time for palm trees and bright blue runoff zones. Welcome to the Miami 2025 Grand Prix!

As we head into the 6th Grand Prix weekend of the 2025 season, we will be treated to possible chances of rain, livery changes (let’s not even talk about the Ferrari one) and a Sprint race! As chaos is on the cards for this weekend, let’s break down the Miami Grand Prix before the festivities begin!

Recap of the 2024 Miami Grand Prix

It’s hard to believe that the fan-favorite for the Drivers’ Championship 2025, Lando Norris, only won his first race in Miami last year. After an incident involving Kevin Magnussen and Logan Sargeant, a safety car was deployed and combined with a tactical pit-spot and an exception drive, Norris was the first to the chequered flag.

As we know how the 2024 season played out, with McLaren taking the Constructors Championship and Norris and Verstappens’ fight for 1st, it seems unfathomable that after the Miami Grand Prix in 2024 that Red Bull was dominating the Constructors title and Norris was 5th in Championship. This reflection demonstrates just how far those boys in orange have come, and how much success they may have in the Miami heat this weekend.

Get your sunglasses on, you might expect some shade this weekend

Tensions are high as Piastri races for the first time as the new Champion, having just succeeded his teammate Norris. While a full-on Brocedes-style rivalry seems unlikely, it’ll be fun to watch how the Papaya boys handle the weekend. After Norris’ Miami win last year, can he reclaim the top step, or will Piastri continue his sensational season with a hat trick?

Kimi Antonelli, Mercedes’ young star, drops his Netflix documentary ‘The Seat’ on May 5th. Expect plenty of chaotic promos from him — hopefully no accidental credit card fraud confessions this time!

Get ready for some serious style at the Miami Grand Prix! This weekend, several teams are unveiling stunning new liveries, adding bold colours and fun designs to the grid. Meanwhile, with Miami’s colourful and glamorous vibe, the cars are getting a fresh makeover to match. Not only is it about speed, but it’s also about making a statement both on and off the track! Take a look at the pretty in pink Racing Bulls livery below.

Lastly, and most excitedly, Cadillac who will be a new team joining Formula 1 in 2026 will be revealing their race colours! While I’m hoping for a pink and purple concoction, it will be interesting to see which new colours will be blessing our screens for the next season and may even give us a slight hint at which drivers will be the first to drive for the new team.

Refresh your memory on the last race, and be prepared for a fun weekend in the sun!

Lights out at 9PM UK time this Sunday—don’t miss it.
